This speech by President Obama, delivering the eulogy for Reverend Clement Pinckney and 8 other congregation members of Emanuel AME who were killed on June 17th, is simply transcendent. You almost feel like The President just doesn’t really care what his critics think anymore, as he weaved in the confederate flag, gun control, and the incredible conclusion where he leads the congregation in a rendition of “Amazing Grace.”
Coming on the same day that Marriage Equality was declared across the country by the Supreme Court and the same week that Obamacare was upheld, June 26th could very well mark the high point of President Obama’s eight years in office.
What. An. Amazing. Day.
